Osteria Viva

Very original restaurant with very pleasant and creative ambience and delicious food, especially recommended are the desserts. It was operated by Thomas Zazzi, originally from Switzerland.

Beer & Steakhouse San Servolo

Self-brewed beer in various varieties and very good steaks. Highly recommended is the tartare with a little chilli, freshly prepared at the table.

Restaurant Mani (Umag)

When visiting the old town of Umag, the Mani restaurant is recommended. Speciality is the “Anchovy Cream of Grandma”.

Mate (olive oil)

Regularly awarded virgin olive oil can be purchased directly from the manufacturer in the neighbouring village of Zambratija. Just in April 2017 “Mate timbro istriano”
awarded the silver medal of the international IOOA International Olive Oil Award in Zurich, the oils belong to the world’s top.

Visit to the old town of Umag

Savudrija Lighthouse

Only 700m from the house you can visit the lighthouse of Savudrija.


Visit to the artist village Groznjan

This picturesque village is situated on a hill inistavating Istria and is surrounded by a historic fortress wall. You will find many artists and musicians and a lot of young people. Especially in summer there are numerous classical concerts as well as jazz music. By car you can get to the village in about 25 min.

The Golf Adriatic Golf Course is only 10 minutes by car from the villas and offers a Championship 18-hole golf course of the finest.


The SSI Diving Centre Subaquatic is located in Stella Maris Resort, 8 min (by car) and offers dives on the house reef, dives by your own boat to reefs, an underground minefield and various wrecks, including the well-known wreck HMS Coriolanus. The team (Mateja, Damjan and Katha) of Subaquatic are great and it’s fun with those experienced divers!

Biking / Bicycle Tours (mountain bike or road bike)

The surrounding area around Savudrija and Uma is suitable for ingenious cycling tours, whether on the empty country roads by road bike, or off-road by mountain bike. The AtP Croatian Open is held annually at the Stella Maris Resort’s Goran Ivani’evic Stadium, just 8 minutes’ away by car, and is also attended by many international tennis stars and Wimbledon winners on a regular basis.

Players can also choose from more than 60 tennis courts in the surrounding area. There are also many tennis schools.
